Im trying to tranfer drivers from a pc with internet to a pc without internet. Don't mention USB's please, the files are pretty heavy. Also, I already tried network sharing but obviously couldn't because the other computer has no internet. I have a cat 5 ethernet cable at my disposal but im not sure how to do this. Please help!

Ethernet from system to system is the most easy option. You just have to give them manual IP addresses(Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections. Select your card with the right mouse button and hit properties. Change the IP on TCP/IP V4) and keep them on the same workgroup.

You want the systems in the same IP range and subnet so just use something like 192.168.0.1 for one system and 192.168.0.2 for the other. 255.255.255.0 is the subnet. You should not need DNS, but you can put the other computer in if you wish.

You can use a router between the systems(both on LAN) and it would deal with the IP, but without one it will work just fine.

Modern hardware should not need crossover cables making the normal cat 5 work fine.

Another option is to place the hard drive from one system into the other to transfer that way. It is the fastest option you have.

You can't use one ethernet cord between 2 computers. You will need a crossover cable for that.

Easiest thing to do is get a router between them, otherwise use a switch.

A router will automatically give out IP addresses were as a switch you will have to wait for the computers to timeout trying to get a DHCP address and then they will get a 169.254.x.x one that can be used. Or you could just manually assign them an IP.

The gigabit specification calls for auto MDI-X, so any gigabit capable hardware can use a straight or crossover cable. 10/100Mbit hardware will most likely need a crossover cable.

- Quita el disco duro de la Computadora.
- Conecta dentro de la computadora que tiene el archivo.
- Luego lo instalas en la computadora como estaba. y Listo!
**Podrás copiar ese archivo a toda velocidad, a través de la red es muy lento.
