How to Transfer Os to another Hard drive

I am going to buy a new hard drive (internal) which is 1TB and the Os is on my main ( 500gb) and if possible im going to transfer the Os to the 1tb .

If you buy a WD or a Seagate drive, you can download software tools, from them, that will allow you to make the switch. Personally, I would keep the 500gb, as your OS drive, and use the 1tb for storage.

What is your objective in putting the os on the 1tb drive?

Would you consider cloning your 500gb drive to a SSD and using the 500gb drive for bulk storage?
