How To Transfer Without Having to Re-install Programs

I just bought a 3TB drive sataIII and I was wondering how to transfer all my program files from my 500gb to it without having to re-install everything? I have a lot of programs and it would be a pain to do that. I'm using windows 7 by the way.

If the 500GB is SSD, it'd most likely come with a cloning software, with which you can just clone the whole HDD to your SSD, provided the data is less than 500GB. If its a HDD, you still have many cloning apps available to do the job, a nice read:
