How to turn hdmi in asus motherboard m4a78t-e

I would like to watch TV by using HDMI cable and use the monitor at the same time. For some unkown reason I can't. Does anyone have any suggestion. I 'm using windows 7 ultra. Help me please.

What are you connecting the TV source to? If you're connecting it to the motherboard's back panel I/O, of course that won't work, because that HDMI port is for output. If you're connecting it to a monitor or TV, the model of monitor or TV will be more helpful than your model of motherboard. Some monitors/tvs offer Picture-in-Picture (PIP), where you could see the TV signal in a small area near one of the corners of the screen while the rest of the screen is displaying the signal from the computer.
