How to turn off EDID Checking, Windows 8.1

How can I turn off EDID checking and manually configure my HDMI monitor? Updates from Microsoft and AMD have reduced my 4K monitor to 1080P again. I do not find the EDID setting the way it is available for VGA.

Does your monitor manufacturer supply a ".INF" file for your monitor so that the OS can correctly use the EDID data ?
