How to turn off ink expiration on hp designjet z6100

HP Designjet Z6100ps 60" plotter has unused ink installed a year ago; the ink is good. I cannot get past the display message that the ink has expired. How can I disable this or reset it without replacing all 8 inks (at $293.00 each).

As far as I know you cannot disable or reset it, but I have heard of people turning back the date of the plotter to use up old ink.
