How to turn off LEDs on GPU that doesn't support LED visualiser

Greetings!
I was wondering if you guys could help me out with my GPU's LEDs. It's got LEDs that are blue when the card is idling and when it's on load its color changes in green. I would like to turn those LEDs off or even if possible make them red. I read somewhere that I can cut the LEDs' wire but I am kinda freaked out of doing so. Also I have already tried using standalone nVidia LED visualiser but it just shows loading screen for a moment and immediately crashes. Any help is appreciated. This is the GPU:

I have already tried both of suggestions several times, but none of them worked.

EDIT: Now I've managed to run it after installing the version 1.3.0.0, before i was installing version 1.0.0.0, I thought it's the only version. But now I change settings in the visualizer but nothing changes on the graphics card. I click apply and run on windows startup, but nothing is happening.

It appears that none of the LED controlling softwares changes the state of the LEDs.

@Robert Ban

Fair enough - understood.

Your response was fine and applicable.

It was the OP who originally mentioned "cut the LED's wire".

However, some people do act very literally and/or if English is not a primary language on one end or if there is some mistranslation then things may go badly.

Thanks.
