How to turn off wi-fi auto connection on fresh Windows 10

Hi, I've got a little question.
The title says it, but here is repeat:
When I reinstall windows 10 on laptop, I want that it doesn't connect to wi-fi, at least before antivirus is installed. I know that wi-fi can be disabled in UEFI. But when I disable it in UEFI, the indicator still working! (green light). Is it some sort of bug, and nothing to worry about?

Not sure about UEFI per se....

Is the wifi adapter shown as disabled in Device Manager?

If not, disable the wifi adapter there.
