[SOLVED] How to turn on DirectStorage?

Solution
DirectStorage requires 1 TB or greater NVMe SSD to store and run games and the SSD must use the “Standard NVM Express Controller” driver and also needs a DirectX 12 Ultimate GPU. So to start with: do you have all of those?
My drive is an intel 512gb Intel 660p. In device manager under storage controllers there isn't any device that says Standard NVM Express Controller. And my GPU is an 1660ti so I don't think I can turn it on :/

The functionality will be built into the code for a game.
Whether a developer puts out an update for this on an older game...entirely up to them.
Will Genshin Impact support direct storage? The game is a pretty big cash cow for them so I expect the game developers to.

Also, I've noticed that my display supports Play streaming HDR video but it doesn't support Use HDR but there is an option to turn on "Play streaming HDR video" so should I turn that on? Does my display support auto HDR?

You should forget about direct storage for now. Like already being told, the games will either support it or not... you do not need to update your windows or anything. - But, with your current hardware you will not be able to take advantage of it, pure and simple.

Regarding HDR. No one can help you if you do not supply information regarding what screen you have :)
I would thinks the setting is only referring streaming HDR content, like video and such. It has nothing to do with your screen itself, which i have no idea if it supports HDR or not.

Ah thank you. The hardware ID of the display is MONITOR\LGD065B, it's a 144hz display.
