Does anyone know how I can turn on my wireless switch on my dell d600 latitude? no visible switch on outside

It may be a keyboard combination -- have a look for an antenna symbol printed on any of the keys -- then press the Fn key while pressing the marked key.

Obviously, refer to the manual -- or online help at Dell.
