How to uninstall LXDE desktop enviroment (NOT a clean install)

Hi, everybody! I am going to make another tutorial in installing a desktop environment in Ubuntu 14.04. I have the LXDE desktop environment installed and I need to uninstall the LXDE desktop environment through a terminal shell as well as ALL LXDE packages so I can do the tutorial. I do not want to do a clean install. Thanks in advance!!

sudo apt-get remove lxde should do the trick. lxde is a metapackage for the lxde desktop environment. If you installed LXDE via the lubuntu distribution, simply remove the lubuntu-desktop package to remove lxde and the associated applications.
