I have Windows 10 on two drives and I want to make some space by removing Windows on one of them. Is it possible to do it without backing up my files on an USB?

Solution
Hi

How did you get two windows installs?

If each hard disk has its own bootmanager partitions and possibly uefi partitions if using gpt partitioning then remove sata cables from the hard disk you think is spare and see if windows boots up properly

If it does it should be possible to remove windows, program files , program files (x86), program data once the hard disk is re connected

If not you need to get a windows 10 dvd or usb and try a repair of the windows startup system

It is possible windows on both hard disks share a startup system on one hard disk

I also have a dual-boot config because i originally had just my hard drive but upgraded to an ssd that doesnt have room for all of my files. I want to use the ssd for windows and programs i use alot so i installed windows 10 on it. Now i still have windows on my hard drive but i don't want it there. Did you find a solution?

I'm sorry I'm confused. Who is ErAnkurPaul, what shouldn't he do, and what is an OP? I'm new to Tom's hardware

OP means Original Poster. This term has been used for very many years in most forums.

ErAnkurPaul is a staff member, who goes through threads older than 3 months that are no longer active, and if appropriate, selects a Best Answer. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-2668512/tom-forums.html

In this case the thread is from July 2016, and has been dead since, until is was necroed today. Who removed the Best Answer is unclear, however one poster seem to question ErAnkurPauls right to do his job (the OP never selected any Best Answer).
