[SOLVED] How to unplug cpu fan connector?

I can't seem to unplug my cpu fan from the motherboard, my motherboard is an MSI Z270 SLI and it has that little black thing that seems to be holding it in place and I've read about pushing a flat knife or something into that and just pulling on the fan connector, but it still won't come off. Any help?

"that little black thing" is a small tab that retains connector, just use fingernail to bend it a bit while pulling connector out, needs less than 1 mm.

Just use something thin. Anything you can find in your home.
Like a guitar pick for example. Or a knife like others say. Or your fingernail. Anything.
