Hi,

I have an asus rog strix b-350f motherboard, with ryzen 5 1600 CPU, and EVGA Geforce GTX 1070 FTW graphics card. I am going through the process of trying to update all my drivers. On the asus website I see there is a new update for AMD Chipset driver and it recommends removing old chipset drivers before installing the new one. Can someone help me out on how to uninstall the old driver?

Thanks!

That's a good question. I've never uninstalled a chipset driver in my life. The update pgm always over-writes the old one if necessary. I'll be following this thread to see what the pros say. Odd that Asus would not have uninstall as part of the driver package.

Yeah, not a very helpful answer. What do you do once you download the drivers? Also, should we be downloading the motherboard drivers (Gigabyte in my case) or straight-up AMD drivers from the link above? Then, once we have the drivers, how do we install it? Intel/MSI has software that scans your computer for your current versions, then provides links to the latest drivers that you can run/install from the app. Cannot find anything like that for AMD - and the app center is, as far as I can tell, for apps, not drivers/chipsets/bios etc.

This is an old thread, but:
Drivers are here: https://www.amd.com/en/support
You select which chipset you have and then download the drivers for the OS that you have. It's a .exe, you just run it to install.
