how to update bios of Asus h87 plus motherboard???

Hello guys i m trying to update bios of my mobo from yesterday. But i cannot update it bcs when i enter in EZ Flash 2 utility then i found there is no update of bios.
I downloaded bios from Asus support bios for Windows 7 64bit. I download bios & save it into usb portable flash pendrive . Format it fat32 16kb format. Then i download bios from asus website & save it in it. The bios which i downloaded that is in .zip format.
I m updating bios bcs of slow speed of i5-4670 cpu. It is reallyso slow it takes noticeable time to open files no matter any file.
I have 8gb corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1600 MHz RAM.
Please help me friends.

in windows, instead of just copying and pasting the zip file, right click on the .zip file and extract it to the thumb drive, it should then be a .cap file and ezflash will recognize it then

I extract it but there is not .cap file but there is 2 files .bin
I thinkthese are files of bios 1 is around 2mb & 1 is around 8 mb.

i think you downloaded the bios updater, not the bios 0806.

pick your version of windows then choose "H87-PLUS BIOS 0806"

extract to drive like you were doing

Hi there Arian,

Could you tell me exactly how you booted from USB ? What exact steps did you follow ?

I renamed the BIOS file to .cap file and then I put it into all of the USB ports in order. I also held in the reset button for more than 3 seconds

Hey Arian,

Thanks for your response. The problem is that the system won't boot AT ALL with the new CPU - ASUS actually told me that I would have to install an older compatible CPU, upgrade the BIOS and only then put the new CPU in . Luckily the retailer I bought from was able to do this for me.
