[SOLVED] How to update BIOS

I just bought a CPU my current CPU is i3-4150 now, I bought an i5-3570. I would like to know how to update BIOS? my BIOS Version/Date based on my System Information is American Megatrends Inc v1.4 2/20/2014. I'm just new from upgrading a PC.

what motherboard do you have? as bios is on the motherboard, not cpu

also, do you have to update as BIOS isn't something you update just because you want to, it can have negative effects if it goes wrong.

As you on version 1.2, there are 9 bios versions since yours. You only need the last one. They all improve the stability of the PC.

which version of windows are you running?
as you probably want to update the chipset and Intel management engine interface driver, they are on the drivers tab
Chipset driver is under System & Chipset drivers
Intel Management Engine Interface is under Other drivers - it helps if the version of this is about same age as BIOS.

You can't use an lga1155 cpu in an lga1150 motherboard

Unfortunately NightHawkRMX is right. That board does not support an i5-3570.

its more the cpu he has is 1155 and the one he wants to buy is 1150, not other way around.
