How to update catalyst drivers?

Hello!

I have a confession to make - in the 1 and a half years since I built my computer, I have never updated the graphics drivers.

I need to update them due to a problem with Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. The game always crashes on launch, and I think it's probably due to my old drivers.

Here's some information about my system:

CPU - Intel Core i3 3240
GPU - Asus R7 260X DirectCUII OC
RAM - 2 x 4GB Corsair Vengeance LP @ 1333MHz (Due to motherboard)
Motherboard - MSI H61-M P20 (G3)
OS - Windows 8.1

If you could tell me how to update my drivers, I would be very grateful. I have no idea how to it, so any help would be appreciated.

This tool will detect what you have and download the latest. Just run the installer when it finishes downloading. Good luck!

I already downloaded the installer for the latest version (14.4) because AMD Gaming Evolved always tells me that I need to update my drivers. I clicked the link that it gave, and downloaded the installer. Do I just run that, even with the current drivers still installed?

Some people un-install there current drivers and then run the setup. I have done that in the past as well but usually I find it not necessary. Just take note of the version you have and re-check after the update to make sure it took.

How can I check what version I have (without using the detection software)?

Device manager, display adapters, driver ver. It will display the date of release as well as the version.

Okay - looks like I have version 13.251.0.0.

Quick question - will I need to uninstall the old drivers after installing the new ones?
