I need to update my bios. If I dont my cpu runs really hot (new update has apu support). I have tried q-flash @bios, and other methods. None of them work. When I try to use a usb stick to q-flash, it says "Bios id check error", i have looked all over google and there isnt a fix. Thanks.
My mobo: Gigabyte F2A88X-D3H

Solution
Gigabyte BIOS files come in the form of an .exe file. This is a compressed file that includes a Self-Extractor. Run the .exe file to unpack the file to your USB thumb drive.

Did you read this Note:
Note: To support FM2+ APUs, be sure to use an FM2 APU to update the BIOS to the latest version with the EFI Flash tool included in the zip file. (For a future BIOS upgrade, you can use either the Q-Flash or the EFI Flash tool. )

Solution
Heres what i do. I download the gigabyte f3 bios, i extract it to a folder on my desktop. Then I copy the files to a usb. Next I enter bios and go into q-flash, i choose my drive and the f2a88x file, it says BIOS id Check error.
Also I tried to use the Efiflash.exe and its says "this app cannot run on your pc".
When i try to run the autoexe.bat, it says this

Unsupported 16-Bit Application

The program or feature "-------------\Efiflash.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

Please help me Im having trouble with this, I might just be missing something really simple.

In the link above you use the VERSION 2 DOS instructions.
Basically, you make a USB thumb drive bootable into DOS. DOS is a operating system. The EFI Flash tool and the BIOS file are on the USB Drive. When you boot up into DOS it will run the EFI Flash tool automatically.
