How to upgrade/free download to use Windows 10?

Solution
if you had when offered upgraded from win 7/8 to windows 10 and used a MS login account, you can just download the MS tool and download the ISO from them,. and use RUFFUS and get a proper boot USB (need 4gb minimum) and when you have it installed and log in into your windows with MS account your license will be reactivated

if you did not, you will need to purchase the CD sorry

hi mate,
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
is where you can download windows 10, but you may need
https://www.daemon-tools.cc/products/dtlite
, which is for iso files. Finally when this is all sorted, the daemon tools needs to be installed.
finally download your best made rufus https://rufus.akeo.ie/
and install this, this will create a bootable device for you to put the downloaded windows file onto. You will need a usb i think larger than 4gb, get at least 8gb to be safe. Also keep if clean, if you are unsure of what may be on there right click in my computer and reformat.
Sorry this is similar to one above!

I found that 4 out 5 times people report the tool not properly making their usb device a boot device.
why I refer to Rufus which has proven with the win 10 ISO will make a perfect win 10 usb boot device
besides, instead of having to re-download the tool next time, the use now has an ISO to store away safely from next wipe and re-install they have to perform.
