How to upgrade my PC

I need help upgrading my pc, I cannot afford to do it all at once, so I was wondering what path would be most beneficial for me to take. As in what would have the greatest effect first, then where you would go with it afterwards to reach its potential.
I have a SkyTech Archangel gaming pc. Some games seem sluggish and really have bad shuttering at high or ultra settings, eg. rust and pubg, and im not sure where I should start to upgrade. Here are my specs.
AMD RYZEN 3 1200 4-Core 3.1 GHz (3.4 GHz Turbo)

1 TB 7200RPM Hard Drive

A320M Motherboard

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Video Card

8GB DDR4 2400 Gaming Memory

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Power by 80 Plus Certified 500 Watt Power

Is that a single stick of ram? If yes get rid of it or sell it. Buy a dual channel kit (2sticks) of 3000mhz or faster if possible. That alone will have an enormous impact on performance. Your current config may not be performing up to its potential

Yes it is a single stick, I have one other slot for expansion, i will try that thank you for the advice! I was thinking of doing that but i wasn't sure if it was my cpu bottlenecking, i wasn't sure if installing windows on a SSD would help with performance as well. i had considered upgrading to a Ryzen 7 but wasn't sure which of the 3 i should start with.
