i have a 144hz Asus monitor. the thing is that i want to use the 144hz option but i cant seem to make that happen.. because the pc does not have any DVI option but only HDMI and Displayport.. should i order a special adapter for it to work with DVI or.. i have tried everything.. even DP to DP does not work.. DP adapter to DVI makes green flikering lights. yet still no 144hz only 59hz.. HDMI works fine but only at 60hz..

Lenovo P330 Tiny
Core-I7 8700 2.40Ghz
Intel UHD 630
P1000 Nvidia
16 gb ram

Solution
i would say to try the dvi connection however after looking around it seems that the p1000 only supports higher resolutions instead of refresh rate, i could be wrong though.
That's not how video format support works.

DP does not even work and i have DP port on pc and in Asus display but it shows Displayport no signal.
Try disconnecting the monitor from power for a minute, then try DP again. Make sure the monitor input select is set to DP.
so if were trying to go for 144 hz. its better to go for the display port, now the normal porcess is to go into windows settings -> system -> display -> advacned display settings -> diplay adapter properties for display 1 -> click on monitor tab on top -> screen refresh rate and select 144 hz and that should be it. if not then we can work from here

as for the DP not working i have no idea, even if it was in 60 hz the DP should work
