I was contemplating whether i should upgrade my PC or buy a laptop. I decided to get a laptop because, well, i don't have one. And i decided to get a convertible, because it'd be super helpful for detailed photo editing in photoshop. I got the lenovo yoga 530 ryzen 7, 8gb RAM, with no discreet GPU. I got it thinking, it should be on par with my pc. My pc is an intel i5 (don't remember the code), 16gb RAM, with intel something 2gb GPU.
But it turns out, it's not powerful enough. It lags so bad. So, i think i should buy a PC now. But i wouldn't have enough money to buy a drawing tablet (even if i do, i kind of don't want to when i already have a capable touchscreen laptop).
So, before i waste money again, is it possible to use a laptop as an input for a pc? I can expect some input lag, but i hope i won't be losing sensitivity. If it's possible, how?
On that note, if i were to upgrade my PC, what specs do i need for large photo and 4k video editing? I know i'm supposed to ask this in the PC forum but there's no general PC forum so..
Is i9 necessary? How many RAMs? How many VRAMs? How much should i spend to get the best value for money? I don't expect the best of the best, i just want something workable without losing my mind. (But i am a sucker for value for money)
