Hey guys, how do you use a hdd as storage only? How exactly does that work when you already have windows installed on a ssd? Say you exceed maximum storage capacity on the ssd. Would it then begin to use the hdd for extra storage? Thanks a lot folks

Solution
It doesn't 'automatically' start to save to stuff to the other drive.

But you can redirect where your browser(s) default save location is.
Similarly, your Documents/Music/Pictures, etc.

SSD for OS and applications, HDD for 'stuff'.

if the ssd fills up you would have to manually each time tell windows to save to the hdd. but if your OS isnt on the hdd then you can format it and throw some generic folders on it and what not and just save whatnots to it. right?

true, i forgot you could set the default location instead of detouring it everytime.

I think a lot of that part is manually done. USAFRet may be more help than me but I think it just becomes a bit of moving storage folders over and such and always checking custom install when installing or saving. Also make sure you check your bios and make sure your SSD is top priority when booting.
