I have an 108mbps connection and 10 upload

I am building a new pc and wish to utilise the full speed of my internet but my PC isnt in the same room as my router and I have to use ethernet
I was looking into solutions and found that a 5ghz wifi extender would suit my needs and be able to give me access to the full speeds at no cost of latency
the room I am putting the wifi extender is directly below the router and every other device can read 100-110mbps download from that area so If I plug
in my extender my pc should download games at fast speed and games should have the ping of the router

Is the
TP-LINK RE305 WiFi Range Extender - AC 1200, Dual-band
a good pick?

Solution
It would probably work. I don't like devices that use WPS. It is a security risk. There is a way to configure it via a web browser. So use that method and leave WPS disabled everywhere.

Agreed, totally insecure. A couple years back just as a test I used Reaver and cracked pretty much all the wireless routers nearby in under an hour. Deleted all the information from my machine and then advised everyone to disable WPS. It should not be on modern routers but sadly still is.

As far as powerline range extenders, yes they usually will get at least 100mbps with good latency as long as they are AV2, which uses the ground wire for MIMO. The device you are considering should do fine.
