I have just bought a new tp-link router. The old router is a modem/router combo. The new router isn't a modem/router combo. How can I use the old router to act as a modem for my new router?

Solution
Bridging is what has to happen internally to the modem/router combo unit to make it JUST a modem. It may be possible it might not be.

Even if you can't bridge your old combo unit, you can run two routers back-to-back. It will be difficult to port forward and you will have to carefully configure the second router but that can be done.

On the back of my new router, that says above it "internet" I need to use my old router as a modem.basically to run Ethernet wire from the old router to the new one. Will bridging to this?
