How to use complete 3TB HDD on Windows 10

Hi so I recently had to wipe my 3TB HDD due to some corrupted registry files and that was the only way that I could have done things. However, after reinstalling windows I noticed that my HDD was only displaying as 2TB instead of how it was previously working with the entire 3TB. I tried formatting the drive, deleting all partitions and volumes and converting it from MBR to GPT and then reinstalling windows yet it still doesn't work. The windows that I am using is Windows 10 Home. I repeated formatting and removing all volumes and partitions and converting to GPT multiple times yet it still keeps going back to only using 2TB after I am done reinstalling Windows. When I go to disk management, three boxes come up next to DISK 0, underneath which it says Basic, 2794.52 GB, Online and there are three boxes to the right of it. The first one says System Reserved 500 MB NTFS Healthy, the second says (C😉 2047.51 GB NTFS Healthy, and the third one has a black bar over it and just says 746.52 GB Unallocated. When i right click on it the only options to appear come up are properties and help, and no other useful options. I have checked many videos online, most which suggest using intel rapid storage technology yet that hasn't worked either. Any solutions? Thank you

i assume you tried to extended it in disk manager, correct?
I know you need a GPT volume to get a partition over 2TB.
Is the drive actually GPT partitioned?

I think you may also need to use UEFI boot and not legacy.
how did you create the installer?
If you use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, it should create a bootable BIOS and UEFI USB drive
make sure you select UEFI boot from boot menu on you motherboard and not the USB drive boot
wipe the drive and reinstall.

I think you may also need to use UEFI boot and not legacy.

If you use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, it should create a bootable BIOS and UEFI USB drive
make sure you select UEFI boot from boot menu on you motherboard and not the USB drive boot
wipe the drive and reinstall.

To create the installer I used MediaCreationToolx64 and installed it on to a USB. All I did however was run diskpart, select my disk, and type clean. It showed up the entire 3tb to be free, and then i typed convert gpt and it said that it had been successfully converted to gpt, then I booted the USB and ran the windows installer and selected the 3tb hdd for installation

make sure you choose the uefi (the non legacy) boot to the USB installer.
on the boot manager (i assume F12) it should show the legacy USB drive and the UEFI boot partition on the drive.
Or to make it slightly less confusing, disable legacy boot in the BIOS.

You need to do UEFI install.

You need to use a clean unformatted disk. Windows will create several partitions for the UEFI install. Don't format and convert to gpt. Use a clean disk.
