Hi,

So I just upgraded some PC parts like mobo/cpu and when I put in my previous M2 it shows in BIOS but can't boot into it. So I was wondering is there a way to make it still bootable? I have new drive in as well, I can access it from this new drive with Windows but some applications I can't just drag/drop over. Is there a way to make the old drive bootable on the new PC?

Regards

there are 3 results you can get moving an install like that
  1. it works fine
  2. it works but has bugs
  3. it doesn't work at all

now its possible you could set bios to see old NVME but in doing so it might stop seeing new one.

you can't just drop applications like that anyway, they need to be reinstalled unless they are only games.

Can you boot the old disk to safe mode?

You generally can't drag and drop applications anyway.

I'm not exactly sure how can I boot the drive in safe mode. I can see it in BIOS as detected but it's not showing anywhere else as bootable
