How to use SSD as boot drive and HDD as storage

Now I know there are HUNDREDS of questions on this website and have been answered, but none of them answer my question in a specific way, I want to use the SSD to store programs such as adobe photoshop, minecraft, scrap mechanic, etc, but I want to have the files and photos from those programs on the HDD, I was wondering if its possible to link drives like that.

it depends on the program , you have to fiddle with your program's settings. like i have my Steam installed on an ssd but my steam library is on an hdd.

For just about every application, you can designate where it will save to.

Thanks dude, but this leads me to another question, in the file explorer where there are the files and photos, how can I have both the SSD and the HDD linking to the same things in the librarys (like videos, documents, downloads, etc,) instead of having a new library for the SSD?

Assuming Win 10, the 'libraries' in "This PC" are linked to wherever you designate them to be.
Additionally, you can have more than one folder in there, on different drives.

"This PC" (File Explorer) does not care where they live, as long as you designate them properly.

Additionally, you designate any folder on any drive to show in "Quick Access" in File Explorer.

I don't have a Win 8.1 system up and running right now to verify, but I'm pretty sure it is mostly the same.
