Hi,
I have a laptop using the Radeon r5 m330 gpu.
Default clocks are core@1030mhz
Memory clock@1000mhz
Memory is ddr3 2gb
I'm pretty sure that this isn’t a high end gaming card, but how to overclock the card so as to run flight gear @ 30-50 fps?
I want to utilize it to its maximum guys.
The options that are available in msi afterburner are power limit, core clock up to 1100mhz and mem clock up to 1100mhz,
I can’t overclock the core voltage, fan control and temp. Limit.
Other specs:
AMD a8-7410 APU @2.2ghz
8gb ram ddr3 @1600 (2x4gb)

Please help.

Thanks

Try Sapphire Trixx, I've had much better luck with it than Afterburner on my AMD cards. If your experience is like mine, it'll let you hit much higher clocks than Afterburner will, although I've never tried it on a laptop so YMMV. http://www.sapphiretech.com/catapage_tech.asp?cataid=291&lang=eng If that doesn't help, you won't be able to do much more other than MAYBE getting RAM with tighter memory timings, although it almost certainly won't be worth the price in your case.

yes that utility did the job...steadily i increased the memory clock and core clock and power and i found my sweet spot.
core@1080 mhz
memory@1200mhz
Thanks a lot !

Hey there,Is it still working stable on those frequencies ?

Yeah, it is. I'm running flight gear at a steady 25 fps with 2x anti aliasing and v-sync on.
Grid autosport with low settings @45fps.
star wars:battlefront II @50fps in high settings and anti-aliasing of 2x

tnx for answering
I guess U are lucky,mine crashed at 1020 Core clock,1125 Memory Clock
What are ur temps under load ?

Hey,I'm not so lucky. After updating my drivers, crossing he 1100 mark for memory proved to be futile, so get down ur memory clock to 1100 and increase ur core clock upto 1080. My temps are 65-70 celsius and at full load upto 89 celsius.
For once i even ran the core clock at 1150 without any crashes or explosions.
But beware amd doesn't warrant ur card once its overclocked!
I'm using the latest crimson drivers

Mine is Updated too (16.6.2)
Gonna try 1080/1100 and stress test
