Hi,
I downloaded a few files (or patch) from the internet which has the extension of .nfo but I don't know how to apply it to the software. can anyone please tell me?

The .nfo files aren't the patch or anything similar. It's basically a readme, and they are usually used in warez and so forth. You can open it in Notepad to see what it says and what you downloaded is about.

Busted !!! The only software I have even heard of that uses *.nfo files is warez. Shame shame.
Just open it with Word, Wordpad, or notepad.
You can also choose to "always open this type of file" with wordpad or notepad so that it will be shown as a wordpad file.

thanks guys..
if it is so, then why must they use the nfo format? why not txt?? any reason for that? BTW, I found the file using astalavista search... :) (I'm busted!!)

Sure you did, we believe you

I don't know why they use nfo instead of txt. Maybe its too set themselves apart so that other hackers will recognize them.
