Okay, so this is slightly more complicated than the title entails. I will describe in as best detail as i can. I have a 500GB hard drive that is just about to pack up, stop working (i know, different topic) And i have two other hard drives. A brand new 1TB one and an old 250Gb one that contains windows XP and some Basic programs. I would like To transfer windows 7 from my current 500gb to the 250gb one and use that just for the operating system and backups, and use the 1tb one for everything else, documents, games etc. now to transfer win7 i know i need a system image. when i go on the appropriate page, it ants to copy my whole c drive. The reason i cant do this is because the external HDD i am putting the system disk on has only about 50 gb worth of space. so thats the first problem. (creating a system disk) secondly is, do i have to format the 250gb one for it to accept the system image, if so.. how? Also how would i use the 250gb one and the 1tb one together, do i set it up in raid, or just have them both plugged in? If you need anymore information just ask. also will this setup the 250 for windows and the 1tb for everything else, be efficient, such as will it be safer, or faster or.. i don't know, better? if you can answer any of these, i thank you.
