Hi. My friend has an Unrooted Galaxy S5 and would like to use it as a WiFi adapter as he does not have a WiFi adapter at the moment. I am asking this because with my rooted Nexus 5, I can tether my phone's WiFi connection to my PC under settings, but when I do that option on my friends S5 it tethers mobile data and not WiFi data. I am trying to use its WiFi connection and put it on the PC and I can't seem to find a way to do that. Thanks all!

Ah if you are using android first find a usb cable that can connect to your phone and PC.
Make sure your Wi-Fi connection on your phone is turned on.

go to settings>more settings>tethering & portable hotspot> enable usb tethering.

Lol obviously. The issue is when I use that, it uses mobile data instead of the wifi connection. My friend doesn't have a wifi adapter for his pc, and he wants to use his phone as one. He wants to use his phone's wifi connection through his computer through usb tethering, which can be done as I have done it before on my nexus 5.
