I bought a new HP laptop, the specification in website said DDR3L, but in the box it says DDR3.
How can verify the laptop has DDR3 or DDR3L
The box would not give you specific details on the RAM, just like it would say Intel i5 but not give you the specific model of i5. Run SPECCY or CPUZ or open the RAM tray and look at the RAM to find out exactly what type.
Or go into the BIOS and look at the memory voltage.
It's a laptop though, so it's almost certainly using SODIMMs which are all a standard 1.35V for DDR3. As in, the same voltage as a desktop sized DDR3L DIMM.
