How to watch TV on laptops

how can I install television on my laptop?I have HP650 Windows 8 laptop. I have no idea whatsoever about installing television but i really want to know how..Can you help me?

You need a USB TV tuner.

You can also use IPTV, but that's sometimes hard to come by, and chews through bandwidth.

Depends on how you get your Television.

1. You can watch over the air television by using a USB Tuner This of course will depend on the reception you can get where you are. On the plus side it does not require any data connection like wifi.

2. You can use a Sling box. This will require you have cable/sat, and internet at home. Also it will require that you have internet whever ever you laptop should be. On the plus side you can watch you TV on your android or apple smart phone.
