How to WiFi tether with MacBook?

Hey, recently my ethernet cable broke and I don't have any way to get internet on my desktop PC.

I have a
Desktop
MacBook Air early-2015
Iphone 7
Windows phone (no idea what model)
PS4
Very short ethernet cable incapable of reaching my modem from upstairs

Any way of using these to gain internet access on my desktop PC?

Why not purchase a wireless adapter? There are the somewhat faster pci ones as well as usb ones that all do the job. I got a wireless adapter from TP-Link with dual antennas that worked just fine, but I bought that for later on as I have Ethernet currently. If you’d rather tether, just say so.

Ive already ordered a new ethernet cable, im just looking for a temporary solution to getting internet on my pc until then

Ok then, I found this link to use between the MacBook and the desktop. This may work. Hope the MacBook uses WiFi rather than Ethernet. https://support.apple.com/kb/PH25327?locale=en_US
