I have a 60GB SSD with windows 7 installed on it. I've already done a new clean install on my new boot drive. How do I wipe this SSD completely?

Hey there, Planet_Icarus!

Hard drives use magnetic storage platters, so overwriting memory locations is not a problem. But SSD technology uses flash memory, and each location must be erased first. There are free utilities that can perform this.
Make sure there are specifically for SSD formatting because cleaning tools that work on hard drives might not work on SSDs.
This is essential for the secure erase of the SSD which works the same way as the mechanical hard drive erase.
Another thing you should keep in mind is that the SSDs, unlike HDDs, have memory blocks that can only be overwritten a certain amount of times, and once you reach the limit - that block is no longer writable. This might lower the life of your SSD if you perform it more than the suggested 7 times.
Check this article for ideas on the utilities: http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-securely-erase-an-ssd-drive/

Hope this helps you! Good luck! :)
