Hello everyone,

I've agreed to help a friend with some RJ45 cable, but now i'm lost. Here is what we have :

We will need only one of the two RJ45 plugs, doesn't matter which one.

I'm not sure where each wire goes. I've read that there are two different color codes (Type A and B), but i think that is for the male RJ45 plug.
In this case, there are color indications which aren't type A or B. There is even some connections which show both orange and green. I'm plainly confused.

Where should i plut the following 8 wires ? :
Blue, White/Blue, Brown, White/Brown, Orange, White/Orange, Green, White/Green

Secondly, the other end of the cable must be plugged on this :

Which did not contain any specific documentation either because it's probably sold to professionals who know their job, lol.
ANy hint on this one too please ?

Thanks a lot !

The bottom row connects to the socket on the right - you can see the arrow printed on the PCB.

The left four pins are the same whether you use A or B. The right four differ - see the 'A' and 'B' on the left? That indicates which is which.

Much the same for the other one - the other side of it should show which pair goes where for A & B.

It doesn't matter whether you use A or B, as long as both ends are the same - and most gear doesn't even care about that.

A few tips on termination: try to keep it twisted as close to the terminals as possible. Also, you're really supposed to use a punch tool - don't strip them.

It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but I'm pretty sure the white cover should be down on the second connector...
