how turn off network discovery sharing permanently

im tired turning off my network discovery sharing. for some unkown reason it always goes turn on. i dont know why it always goes turn on.. we are using cable router directly from modem from the isp that gave us. we have 4 computers at home. i want to hide my folder files from showing in network. my witty siblings seems peeking my awkward selfie photos and upload it to facebook wth. is there any way to disable network sharing permanently from my pc?

Hello Allen,

To "semi-pernamently" disable network sharing:

Download this file, run it and follow the steps:

After that disable service called Server. How to do it:
Click Start, Right-click Computer -> Manage.
After window opens go: Services and applications -> Services.
Scroll down and find Server service.
Right-click it -> Properties.
Change Startup type to Disable -> Stop service -> OK.

You can reenable this service by changing Start type to Automatic.
