How well can my new cooler works effectively as the original one ?

Hi everyone. l have this question to ask. i am using intel core 2 duo E8400 n want to change my cooler since the intel cooler makes much noise recently . Can i install any different cooler apart from the original one? the new cooler is arctic Freezer 7 PRO Rev.2
Also will it work on my motherboard ASUS P5G41T-M-LX3
