plenty. the 780 overclocks well and in stock form is only a few % points slower than the rx470 which is a great 1080p performance and entry level 1440p performance. with an average overclock it should be comparable to reference rx470 and gtx1060 3gb benchmarks that you see around.

i am wondering how much better would a 2gig or 4 gig GTX 960 be gaming wise over a NON TI 780 in 1080p i.e. how much better or worse would a 780 be in games like the witcher 3 and doom 4 vs the 2 and 4 gig 960 non overclocked

in the 3dmark firestrike benchmark the gtx960 posts an average of 7700 for a gpu score while the gtx780 posts an average of 10500. that is a pretty big difference. the witcher 3 is a game the gtx960 will close the gap on the gtx780 since there is/was a known kepler architecture issue with performance in that particular game. i think i remember reading somewhere that the 780 only had a 2-3fps advantage over the maxwell gtx960. in practice though with new titles like doom 4 the gtx960 is probably only 15-20% behind in performance as it has more matured drivers.

^ yeah that battlefield 1 chart shows you where you would expect the 960 and 780 to perform. but the witcher 3 chart is not favorable at all for the 780 compared to the 960.

something is wrong with the doom chart as the 780ti and titan k are way way way ahead of the 780 when we already know they're roughly close to each other. the 780 should be right on the heels of the titan k sitting with the 290 and 290x. strange.

that titan xp though in the bf1 chart sitting so so far ahead of anything else is comical though.
