how well will this build play bf4

Should be able to get way with medium settings. On say like 1680x1050 or around there. But keep in mind BF4 has some serious tweaks to go before it is optimized in itself.

so is the graphics weaker then a next gen console should i return it and get a gtx 660

You'll get Medium/High at 1080p with the 260x easily.

God no it's not weaker than the 'next-gen' console. You'll get High with FXAA at 1080p easily with it. At higher frame rates. Definitely beats a console lol

If you want some hardcore AA and AF you might have to cut some quality to medium, but you'll get a good combo of Med/High

AA is Anti Aliasing- It Smooths the edges. (Like a line will look like a line and not a staircase with good AA )
AF is anisotropic filtering with this, the surface of graphics is enhanced.
