I'm waiting for the parts now. I have made the Bootable Windows 7 install usb drive with the added file need to use the 3.0 usb. i have also downloaded all the current mb drivers along with the latest bios(just in case), so i would be able to install them instead of what is on the disk that comes with the motherboard. Assuming the install goes as it should that is.

Now i can live without the 2 usb ports on my case as there are also 2 3.0 usb ports on the front. I am just wondering how well Windows 7 will run on the Windows 7 platform. Which i am hoping it does. Or will i need to update to Windows Spyware, um 10?

The moderator says all the drivers are available on z170 setup disc. What about B150-M plus mobo? I purchased a B150M Plus two weeks ago and still struggling to make the usb ports and the Sony DVD drive work, and regretting all the while why I got swayed by Asus' claim "This board is compatible with Win7/32/64, Win8/8.1/32/64 and Win10/32/64". I set up Windows 7 32bit on this board and found to my horror that none of the USB ports works; device manager says "no drivers installed for the USB controllers".
