I'm building a new pc and just want to make sure that all the new parts will work together and will not bottleneck/ cause problems. I also want my parts to be durable so they will last quite a few years. Will this build run most, or every, game on max settings at 60 fps? And are there any parts you would recommend that don't cost anymore than the ones I have listed. I will not be overclocking the parts immediately but I plan on overclocking it in the future. And over all how will this system perform? Thanks so much for your time.

Parts:
Processor - AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz FD8350FRHKBOX

ok so downgrading the CPU defently lets you get a better motherboard. and for overclocking i really would suggest the Asrock that i told you. it's a fantastic board. but instead of getting the Micro ATX board you can now get the ATX board switch is even better then the micro. the total amount comes out the be $738.98 with $60 rebate
here is the links

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117372 - CPU

if you want you can even go look for a better ram like this one...
Where will you be buying and what is your budget ? because i think you can get far better parts

in gaming i5 is better than OC fx-8350
you can get way cheaper motherboard with i5
8gb of ram is enough for gaming
with money saved on other parts i think you can get better GPU
you can get better quality PSU for less, and you dont need 750w for this system
you wont need CPU cooler with locked i5, you can spend that money on better GPU
why 500gb HDD, 1tb ones cost just a bit more

Your Graphics card is a good choice and HD is a good choice other then that i would get these. and you will have a lot better performance for just $34 extra. So keep the graphics card and the Hard drive but the rest get these.

PSU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139054
RAM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233236
Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157520
CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117369 <--- comes with a heat sink and the heat sink is great.
So the total with everything with this build comes to be $948.84 with $70 in rebates.

and the build you are doing comes out to be $885.83 with $40 rebate. So the build i told you is only $34 extra but you get better items. And yes you can Use AMD graphics card on intel motherboards. they actually work great. even if you want to Do crossfire.

If i where you i would buy most of these stuff on newegg.com they have rebates on them. unless you already found somewhere that is already 20 or 30 dollars cheaper. IDK it's up to you. let me know what you think. O and about the overclocking. just if you do decide to overclock the CPU don't do it on air. Get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181032 and overclock your CPU with water not air just letting you for your future reference. and if you do decide to add another Radeon R9 280 graphics card upgrade your power supply to a good 750W 80 pulse gold certified. For now Since you will be using 1 R9 you don't need that crappy 750W power supply, the CORSAIR RM Series 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified is more then enough. later when you decide to Crossfire then all you will need to do is upgrade to a good power supply.

and yes all your equipment that you decided to pick out will work with each other. I am just simply giving you a better build for the money.

Thanks for you help and options. I forgot to mention that I already own the Hard Drive, the OS, and the CPU Cooler. And for my budget, I would like to keep it under $800. All of the parts listed in my original post, minus the 3 I own, comes out to a total of $750 after $40 mail in rebate. In the $750 total I did select your PSU and your RAM over mine. Finally, if did switch over to a i5 build, then what are some good options for alternative parts that will give me a better build and stays under $800. Thanks again

ok well if you get the motherboard/PSU/CPU/RAM/ and graphics card it all becomes out to be $865.95 with $70 rebate so it's well worth it. but if you can't do $790 i will find you the second best CPU and going down from 1866 to 1600 ram is more then okay. 1600 is more then beastly and fast this would not effect your gaming at all. and i can find you a little more expensive motherboard. let me know

I could do $790. I was just wondering cuz I like options. I wouldn't mind dropping down the RAM, if it doesn't effect my gaming, to pay for a better motherboard. I'm just not a big fan of the yellow mobo but I would rather look at an ugly mobo than get a crappy one that breaks. So just let me know what other options you have. Thanks

@Vahe Bro A
Another idea is to get the i5 4690K and take some of the extra money saved and put it towards a better graphics card. Would this be a better choice or would I be better off with the i7 and the current graphics card. I'm also just wondering here, how will either of these run Arma 3. Will they be able to at least run it on medium to high settings? Thanks again.

Except how will those changes effect my gaming. Is the loss of the i7 and the gain of a little RAM and different mobo worth it. I'm leaning towards the i7 build just cuz it's a lot better of a processor and I fell like that will give a better system than the i5. But let me know what your opinion is. I also have a problem with the ASrock micro mobo you recommend cuz it only supports USB 3.0, while I only use USB 2.0. So I don't think that will work, unless USB 2.0 works on usb 3.0 but i dont know that myself. But if you cant use USB 3.0 than what other processors would you recommend.

Thank you for your help also, sorry i didn't see this any sooner. If you look at the previous comments on this thread it will catch you up. I just wanted to see what your opinion on my situation is. Would I be better getting an i7 4790k or would i be better with the i5 build with better mobo and RAM. Also what mobo would you recommend. Again just look through the previous posts to see my budget, updated parts, and ideas for my build. All suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you very much!

you can use a 2.0 on a 3.0.

and to be honest you are not going to see any difference with game's from the I5 or the i7 both are like equal on your game the game's are going to be more dependent on your graphics card. if i you are going to buy a graphics card and planning on getting a Nvidia i suggest you get AMD unless you are going to get a GTX 960 or higher. and this motherboard support Crossfire or SLI so you can use AMD or Nvidia GPU's on that board and most boards are like that now because people buy Intel motherboards and processors but get AMD graphics cards

Alright so i think I'm finially started to get all the parts picked out.
PSU - i5 4690k
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117372
Motherboard - ASrock Z97 OC Formula
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157502&cm_re=asrock_z97_oc_formula-_-13-157-502-_-Product
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4x4GB) ddr3 2133
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4YU2AH8948&cm_re=g.skill_ripjaws_z_series_16gb-_-9SIA4YU2AH8948-_-Product
PCU - Corsair RM 650W 80+ GOLD
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139054&cm_re=RM650-_-17-139-054-_-Product

I am going to put alittle more into the graphics card so i was thinking either the r9 280x, r9 285, or the gtx 960. Which out of those 3 would run the best and what would be the one graphics card you would recommend. I want to spend around $200 just for the graphics card, preferably not any more. Thanks again.

All aftermarket brands are good IMO and comparisons are mostly substantial, but I would suggest either the DirectCU version from ASUS, Windforce from Gigabyte, or the Frozr/Hawk/Lightning version from MSI. Heard that XFX DD edition is also great.
Though those costs abit higher than 200 dollars, you might find rebated ones in Amazon or other retailers.

I'm leaning towards the Sapphire Vapor-X. Do you think this is a good and reliable card?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202137&cm_re=sapphire_r9_280x-_-14-202-137-_-Product

Vapor-X coolers are great performers. If you're drawn to it, then go for it 😀
It should serve you great for years to come :)
Sapphire and Zotac are the same company, they made great cards and their warranty service are execptional

Yeh i think im going to go with the sapphire 280x. But thank you so much for your help. And thanks to you and everyone else in this thread you helped me get my pc build parts picked. Ordering them tonight and can't wait to build and play on it. Thanks for your time, suggestions, and help!
