That depends greatly on your location in the country - but unless you live
in the areas directly affected - i seriously doubt you will notice much
(unless you frequent web sites that are housed in the affected areas.)

How will the internet be positively affected by Hurricane Katrina?

Why is a Win98 user posting to a WinXP newsgroup?

Expected opening prices on the Oil futures market tomorrow
morning in excess of $70 per barrel. The off-shore wells near
New Orleans provide nearly a million barrels per day.

We may see less referrals to Google search pages from Kelly over the next
few days. Some may not consider that being an adverse affect.

Nice try. The "Begin" bug was fixed by KB900930.

Where are these people coming from lately. Seems they are crawling out of the walls after a long hibernation. <vbg>

I'm a caretaker/lifeguard to 4 different home machines (which contain among them
the OS's of: Win 98SE, Win Me, & Win XP Home). A 5th one fell overboard when it
contracted a virus last year, but the user insists on connecting to the phone
line to collect his e-mail in DOS 6.22. He refuses to learn Windows, or know
anything about Windows! I refuse to learn much about DOS, and todays' technology
won't support an anti-virus/firewall for DOS machines in a way that I can
understand. So the DOS user and I are constantly at each others' throats about
what is right and what's not. I declare him uneducable...and his wife too.

I'm still wondering what to do when Win 98SE & Win Me lose mainstream support
next summer, then Win XP Home loses mainstream support at the end of 2006. It
makes me want to hold off on purchasing any newer machines until Windows Vista
gets here!

Bush may grant the Southern States Secession Rights because they will be in such
dire need! It goes with his Texan philosophy anyway, don't it? More tax cuts for
the rich to head off the recession, and no emergency help to the million
displaced persons who have no other help forthcoming. Then the Federal Gov't
could invade the South and take their oil by force!

How many oil rigs need to be replaced next week anyway? Tax cuts, the only
inducement to reconstruct the BIG RIGS.

Pa bear is not stupid.

In the op headers it shows he/she using a different version of outlook
express.

Who cares what the op is using. They may use a 98 machine and a xp
machine,. Xp machine may be dead and they are using this 98 to get
help to fix it. Some people use 98 at work and xp at home and
visa-versa

The op is really off-topic here.

I just heard the latest, the worse part of the winds will miss new
Orleans. Hopefully that will keep the prices down. It all depends
on if there is any damage to the oil lines.

If we have are own oil. How come the prices are so high?
Should we be actual using are own oil?
