I'm building my first custom PC and need to know if these parts will do good for medium to medium-high end gaming.

OS- Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

GPU - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7750
MOBO - MSI 970A-G46 AM3+ AMD 970
CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz
PS - COOLER MASTER eXtreme Power Plus RS500 (500W)
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
CASE - Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower

Also, my father has 6 SSD's and he's giving me two, so I don't need to add SSD/HDD's into my budget.

I'm on a tight budget as I'm a high school student so I don't have much more room for improvements.

You'd probably get more replies if you posted this in the correct forum section: Hardware:Systems:New Build

If you're on a gaming budget, you're on a budget. Going with an AMD would be your option. I'm not sold on your psu... doesn't have good reviews for power output, especially for gaming. Make sure that your graphics card only requires one 6-pin connecter, as your psu only has one 6-pin out. Not an issue for the gpu you've listed, I would imagine.
