How would I connect my HDMI computer to VGA monitor

I need help connecting my Hdmi computer to my VGA monitor. What would I need for it to both work? No I can not get a new monitor yet. Also the monitor is 1600x900 resolution.

You can get one of 2 things.

A HDMI to VGA Cable Adapter,

or just a plain HDMI to VGA Adapter, where you plug the VGA Cable in the adapter then into the monitor.

Just make sure that it is just HDMI, not Mini-HDMI or Micro-HDMI.

I used to have a similar setup, and I didn't notice any major delay.

I used to have either a VGA to DVI or vise versa, and it worked perfectly fine, and no noticeable delay.

Saying that, I used a converter, a cable is much better as it converts along the cable, rather than in the converter then along the cable. So I recommend a cable, but there's no major difference.

Yeah thats the same one I linked. Never noticed any delay. I mean I wouldn't count on it for competitive gaming if thats your thing but for any normal person its more than fine.

So you're saying I should get a cable because it's faster?

In a way yeah, but in reality, there would be no noticeable difference between the 2. Cables are generally much more cost-worthy and the adapters are generally quite cheap, a couple of dollars, pounds, euros, really cheap.
