How would I install an RGB LED-Strip?

I know that I can power the LED's with a molex connector, I know how to do that as well, but I am looking to power the RGB control box that comes with it as well.

LED Strip

Instead of stripping the LED wires, couldn't I strip the wire from the wall adapter instead? The control box only needs 12 volts.

why wouldnt you just use molex adapters and keep it all in your case??

This is what I am trying to accomplish. What molex adapter are you talking about? I am wanting to control my lights externally, using the controller. I need to power the "RGB Control Box", but do not know a way to do so. (keeping everything inside the case)
