How would I know if my motherboard is damaged?

Hello there!

Yesterday, a motherboard arrived for me via the mail. The outside box had some mild cosmetic damage, and the box itself also had some mild damage - the bottom corner was a little smushed, but it was covered externally with protection so how carelessly must it have been handled for the inside box to have been smushed?! D: But seeing as it's only small, I can't help that the impact must not have been that bad... right?

Anyway, after speaking with the seller about this, they said they could replace it immediately or I can wait and test it out the rest of my components (which are on the way) by next week and get a replacement then if things go awry. Which one should I do? And even if things are okay, will something fail a few weeks later if there was an impact? What if I can't see any damage to the motherboard?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Solution
Instead of worrying just go ahead and replace the motherboard, I worry about my PC as well a bit too much.

Remember the easiest solution is always the answer.

Or if you prefer, if the motherboard is not damaged or anything like pieces missing or working bad just keep it and when does show signs of something being wrong contact the guys to replace your motherboard!
If anyone has had something like this occur to them, I would be much obliged if they can proffer their wisdom :) I do have to get back to their customer service pretty sharpish!
(Also, the motherboard in question is a Asus Z170 A)
