How would I mount an SSD in this laptop?

Planning on replacing an old 2.5 5400rpm hard drive in a HP 17z-ak000 with an ssd. My question is, the hard drive seems to have a compression fit (which probably means it stays there due to being squeezed) when I looked up a video of it. I'm not sure if the SSD will work since I believe its thinner than a laptop hdd or can I just use electrical tape and secure it to the board? Or would it just fall into place nicely? Plus, would there be any problems with the ribbon cable not being compatible with the ssd or maybe something power draw wise?

SSDs are not sensitive to shock and do not need to be mounted with rubber or really mounted anywhere nearly as securely as a hard drive.

Some double sided tape on the back of the SSD would be my choice.

SSDs draw less power than a mechanical drive, so no power issues. I don't see any incompatibilities there.
