I was finally able to upgrade to the ryzen platform. I got the 2nd gen R7 2700 version just this month and I'm really liking it. Upgraded from fx 8370 and its such a huge improvement. I just wanna know what you guys think of my system if how many years it could able to run the latest games like ac origins or oddesey (don't have it yet), total war games, etc. My build currently at 1080p is:

R7 2700 (oc'd at 3.65)
MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X470
MSI GTX 1060 gb
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200 16 G
Then 2 ssd and 2 hdd
Just basic air cooling

Thanks for your opinion...

If you play Total War games then you should have gone Intel for superior single thread performance.

Your CPU at 4.1 GHz has got a Single Thread rating of 2072 whereas a 6 year old 4770k overclocked at 4.5 GHz has got a single thread rating of 2610. The difference is HUGE.

You will still be able to play Total War games but you will lose a signinifcant amount of performance vs an Intel CPU.
